A professional nurse registered in the state of Mississippi, responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Also directs and guides patient teaching activities and ancillary personnel, while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Designated Wexford Manager, Medical Director
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistants
RELATIONSHIPS: Works closely with all clinical and administrative staff, security staff and inmates.

Under the supervision of a Physician, DON or Nurse Supervisor, Assesses plans and delivers nursing care patients (inmates) in a correctional facility. Documents nursing encounters utilizing Medical Records format of charting as required by the Facility. Provides leadership to LPNs, CNAs and other nursing paraprofessionals in patient care.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
OFFICE: Standard medical setting in a correctional facility, which includes daily interfacing with inmates, correctional staff, and health care personnel.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
LICENSING: Currently licensed as a registered nurse within the state of Mississippi
CERTIFICATION: Current CPR certification EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
